THEY LEFT WITHOUT ME

They,  are them

Not one, maybe two or three

Quite a few loves

 who had left without me.

Departed, just gone

 Just leaving solitude and me

They’re nowhere in sight

None of them I can see.

I can ask why,

 Or probably even cry

As their retreat

 creates distance from me,

Oh come back past loves

 my pathetic plea.

Lessons in love,

 One can never fully learn,

 the pain, like an inferno

relentless, and endlessly will burn.
